Public Works Office Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday

The Recycling Division is responsible for assisting citizens with recycling materials. The Recycle Center is located at 205 Fifteenth Street, Monett, MO. This facility was made possible by funding from the City of Monett, Southwest Missouri Solid Waste Management District, and the Department of Natural Resources Division of Environmental Quality Solid Waster Management Programs.

The following items are accepted:

Glass - We accept clear and colored glass; remove lids and rinse. Flat glass can be accepted if all framing and bands have been removed.
Paper - We accept all paper except cardboard, blueprints, and slick fax paper.
Plastic - Plastic bottles with necks - must have a #1 or #2 on the bottom, lids removed, and be clean
Tin - Tin cans - must have labels removed and be clean

Saturday
7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
7 :30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Items will ONLY be accepted when the center is open.

Note: Businesses can take their cardboard and aluminum beverage cans to the Monett Sheltered Workshop, 1203 East Broadway, Monett, MO from 8:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
