Utility Payment Program Offered by the City of Monett
Bank Draft: Offers customers the option of having payment for their utility bill automatically deducted from their checking account. To be eligible for the bank draft program, customers must:
1) Reside in their current residence for a minimum of six months.
2) Must have maintained a good credit history with the City for a minimum of six months.
3) Must be the account holder listed on the utility billing and also on the checking account.
Customers understand that the draft for payment for their account will occur between the 5th and the 10th of each month. Customers understand that returned drafts for insufficient funds are cause to be removed from the bank draft payment program and their utility services may be interrupted for non payment.
Penalty for insufficient funds:
First Time Twenty dollar service fee
Second Time Twenty dollar service fee
Third Time Removal from the Bank Draft Program for a twelve-month period.
