Utility assistance is available

We understand that the Power Cost Adjustment for March has created concerns among some community members regarding energy costs. The city does recognize that fluctuations in the PCA can create hardships for many in the community and is working diligently to pursue avenues to stabilize the PCA. This includes ongoing research into the feasibility of developing local solar opportunities, and diversifying our energy portfolio to include more sources of energy in the future.

For those who may be interested, there is utility assistance available to our community through different programs offered. Each program has different regulations but work with City of Monett to provide assistance to our community.
