County Street Gravity Sewer Replacement

SEALED BIDS for construction of County Street Gravity Sewer Replacement, Monett, Missouri, will be received 
by the City of Monett, City Clerk, City Hall, 217 5th Street, Monett, Missouri 65708 until 2:00 P.M. D.S.T, March 
25, 2022 and then publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall, 217 5th Street, Monett, Missouri.
The proposed work includes: Replacement of approximately 588 LF of 6” diameter VCP gravity sewer line with 8”
SDR 26 PVC, including excavation, installation of pipe and manholes, bedding and backfill, installation of sewer
services tees w partial service replacements, pavement repair, traffic control and incidentals. Construction activities 
shall comply with the City standard specifications as shown on the City of Monett website.
Digital and paper copies of the plans and sewer specifications and proposal forms may be obtained from the office 
of Sprenkle Engineering Services, LLC, City Hall, 217 5th St., Monett, MO, (417) 236-8025 or by email request. 
Copies of the plans and specifications are on file and may be examined at the City Engineers office, 217 5th St., 
Monett, MO.

MO 65708 (417) 236-8025 or at ksprenkle@sprenkle.com. The Bidder may submit electronic pdf bids to the project 
engineer at least one hour prior to the scheduled bid opening.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or to reject any or all bids and to 
readvertise and to rebid.
All materials for the project shall be tax exempt. The City of Monett shall provide the precast manholes, SDR 26 
PVC pipe, tees, fittings and Sch 40 pipe for sewer service reconnections.
Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of five percent (5%) of his/her base bid. 
Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required by the successfully awarded project Bidder.
The project shall have a 30 consecutive calendar day construction time of completion from Notice to Proceed date.
Prevailing Wage Rate requirements shall be in accordance with RSMO Chapter 290.230 and as stipulated under HB 
1729.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the opening 
thereof.
