Al Stockton retires

The City of Monett will be celebrating the career and retirement of Allen “Big Al” Stockton from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, May 31 at the Utilities Warehouse on County retire
Stockton has worked for the City of Monett for nearly 32 years. He began his career in 1998 in the Street Department and will be retiring as the foremen of the Water Department.
Over his 30-plus year career with the city, he has worn many hats and will be missed by all who have had the pleasure of working with him.
All are invited to attend his retirement party and enjoy refreshments and an opportunity to chat.
“Al is somebody we’re all going to miss,” said Utilities Superintendent Skip Schaller. “It’s hard to imagine the department without him. But over the years he’s earned his retirement and so much more. The city owes him a debt of gratitude for a job well done over a long career of hard work and dedication.”
